Event Details

Artist Exhibit. Saturday, June 10 through August 18. There will be a reception on July 28 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm which is open to the public.

I am a self ‘learning’ rather than a self-taught artist in this ever ongoing journey and have been working on my own style and composition for the last five years. My preferred medium is ‘Oil on Canvas’ and I use this medium simply without depending on any specialized tools or techniques. I focus on portrait and figurative work. I also do some works in charcoal and practice and teach drawing from live models, using this medium. My working style is a blend of realism and loose abstract shapes and form.

I am strongly influenced by many contemporary living artists like Richard Schmid, Nancy Guzik, , Daniel Gerhartz, Jeremy Lipking, Susan Lyon, Scott Burdick, Daniel Keys, Suchitra Bhosle and Tina Garrett just to name a few and also find inspiration through age old masters such as John Singer Sargent, Joaquín Sorolla, and Anders Zorn.
