Event Details

Due to the size of the cast and continuing concerns about social-distancing, Greensburg Civic Theatre’s board has decided to postpone “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” until spring 2022.  Instead, GCT will stage the full-length comedy “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” (abridged) [Revised] by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield on April 30-May 2, 2021  (Fri/Sat at 8p, Sun at 2p).

Ticket holders for “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” may either hold on to their tickets for Spring 2022 (April 29-May 1, 2022), attend “Shakespeare” instead this spring, switch to a livestream performance of “Shakespeare,” or request a refund/credit through the point of purchase.

All ticket holders must contact the Box Office at 724-836-8000 or boxoffice@wctrust.net by 5 PM Friday, April 23, 2021,

to let us know if you will be retaining your tickets for “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (rescheduled for spring 2022), exchanging them for in-person or livestream tickets for “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [Revised],” or would like to request a credit/refund.

A drama by Tennessee Williams

In a plantation house, a family celebrates the sixty-fifth birthday of Big Daddy, who is slowly dying, hence a number of evils poison the gaiety: greed, sins of the past and desperate, clawing hopes for the future.  By evening’s end, ingenuity, fortitude and passion will set things right.

“…a play of tremendous dramatic impact…enormous theatrical power.” —NY Post.
