FREE PALACE THEATRE TOURS

As a cultural landmark of Greensburg for nearly a century, The Palace Theatre has had an intriguing life – everything from a vaudeville stage to a movie theatre to now one of the premier entertainment venues in Westmoreland County.

These tours will include interesting facts and trivia about the former Manos Theatre and explore the many architectural and artistic features of the theatre, such as the beautifully restored murals of fairytales painted by acclaimed Chicago artist Louis Grell and a Vermont marble staircase that leads to the theatre’s second floor.  Reservations are not needed for the tours.

Guests are invited to browse historic documents and displays in The Palace lobby prior to or after the tours.

Following the tour, visitors interested in living in the heart of Greensburg’s cultural district may tour the brand-new third-story apartments above The Palace Theatre.

Opened September 2, 1926, The Palace now hosts the widest variety of live entertainment in the area in a beautifully renovated 1369-seat facility and welcomes 93,000+ guests annually from throughout the country, plus international visitors.
