TGIS – Gary Pratt with Kate Szaller

Gary Pratt is a singer, a songwriter, but most of all, an energetic country entertainer who connects with his audience. He grew up in the small, old coal mining town of Slickville, PA.  Gary has been the opening act for such greats as Dwight Yoakam, Pam Tillis, LorrieMorgan, Ronnie Milsap, and Crystal Gayle.  His recent album, released on MTS/Sony Orchard Records, “Something Worth Remembering,” is dedicated to the memory of his brother Dennis. The album has been featured on radio stations around the world, including the US, South Africa, and the UK to name a few.  It consists of a combination of Gary’s originals and songs written by credited Nashville writers. The title track was written by Grammy Award-nominee Tony Arata, who wrote Garth Brooks’ “The Dance.” The first single, “A Song You Can Drink a Beer To,” was written by Reba McEntire’s niece. The album was recorded at Tonic Studios in Pittsburgh and Omni Studios in Nashville.  Recently, Gary was nominated in 6 categories for the International Singer-Songwriter Association Awards.

Gary loves having a duet partner and is now sharing the stage with Kate Szallar.  Kate is from Mamont, Pa and is a true country girl.  She has always wanted to be that entertainer up on that stage and is proving she has the talent to do it.  She is an amazing person, a fantastic singer and harmonizer, and an experienced piano player. She is currently the Minister of Music for the Manor Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Kate and Gary love their country music and like to add a few musical surprises to their shows… such as their own duet rendition of The Beatles song “Eight Days A Week.” Other new selections include a few top 40 dance songs and contemporary Christian. They are forever thankful to God for walking with them through life, paving this musical journey, and for putting the gift of music in their hearts.

Gary’s music albums can be purchased at Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Itunes, Cd Baby, or call 724-834-7499.
