TGIS – Josh Jams & Spencer Allan Patrick

JOSH JAMS – One Man Jam Band

Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Josh Corcoran made his way to Pittsburgh after spending years touring the East Coast as the lead singer and guitarist of the Penn State band Table Ten. Now, Josh pulls from his experiences performing at legendary venues like the Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ), the Bottle and Cork (Dewey Beach, DE) and the Pickle Barrel (Killington, Vermont) for his acclaimed one man band, Josh Jams. Without a setlist, Josh pulls from hundreds of songs in his memory while simultaneously singing, strumming, and accompanying himself on percussion with the help of his suitcase foot drum. Outside of his performances, Josh is the founder of Spare Change, a community of musicians who donate a portion of their tips to charity. In 2018, Spare Change was awarded a Chipstarter Grant from Chip and Joanna Gaines of HGTV’s Fixer Upper, and in 2019, Josh was listed as a 40 under 40 by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Spencer Allan Patrick

Spencer Allan Patrick was raised in Aliquippa, PA and has been performing for live audiences since the age of 14. Originally trained as a drummer, Spencer taught himself the guitar while developing a percussive and melodic approach to the instrument via his finger-style picking. Inspired by musicians from the early 20th century using their suitcases to provide a backbeat to their songs (and most recently the likes of Shakey Graves from Texas), Spencer began experimenting with his own makeshift Samsonites. This evolved and was refined over the course of 3 years living in Southern Florida. Spencer performed 5-6 nights a week for the duration of his residence until moving back home to Pittsburgh. He has played solo in smaller venues East of the Mississippi and is now settled down in Gibsonia with his loving wife.
