The Art of Woman

Art by women. Inspired by women. For all the world to see.

The Art of Woman, a collaborative effort by local artists Raven Cintron and Mary Ellen Raneri, will be exhibited at Greensburg Garden & Civic Center August 29 through September 30, 2019.

The show is a testimony to the strength, work, voice and beauty of all women and features 35 pieces using various mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, fabric art and hand embroidery.

In addition, the display will include a soft flowing fabric sculpture titled We Will Not Rust Away that was done in collaboration with 14 other women. Rusted, repurposed fabric was joined together to express their strength, both individually and when working together towards a singular goal. This visual portrayal proclaims women will not simply fade or “rust” away but will continue to leave a lasting impression on the world.

There will be a reception on September 11 from 6 to 8 PM that is free and open to the public. The evening will include art, light snacks and music.

Greensburg Garden & Civic Center hours for viewing: Monday-Friday 9 am-9 pm & Saturday 9 am-3 pm
