Greensburg, PA (January 28, 2019) – This year, Westmoreland Cultural Trust is upping the ante on their signature fundraising event and bringing the style and swagger of Vegas to Greensburg.  Party at The Palace Vegas Style commences at The Palace Theatre, Saturday, February 23.  The evening begins with a VIP Party at 6:30 PM, followed by the main event at 7:30 PM.  All proceeds will benefit programs of Westmoreland Cultural Trust and The Palace Theatre.

VIP attendees will enjoy a throwback to the nostalgic days of Vegas, complete with a residency by Elton John (portrayed by Lee Alverson) on The Palace Theatre stage.  Guests will be treated to complimentary passed hors d-oeuvres from Elegant Catering, pink champagne, and a commemorative photograph that will be displayed in the Peoples Gas Outer Lobby for the remainder of the year.

At 7:30 PM, the party moves into the outer areas of the theatre where guests can try their luck at casino games throughout the evening.  Complimentary chips will be provided, with betters playing for fun and nominal prizes.  Attendees will be treated like high rollers with the county’s top restauranteurs providing samples of their finest flavors. VIP guests will also have the option to request bottle service on stage during the party, to entertain clients or take a breather from the action.

In the Grand Casino (Megan’s Suite), partygoers can take in a show with Lady Gaga (portrayed by Aubrey Burchell) and Elton John (Lee Alverson) or listen to the smooth sounds of EBT Trio. Elvis (Vaughn Hudspeth) will be performing at the Pop-Up Chapel of Love (Upper Megan’s Suite). Lovebirds can go ‘ALL IN’ and get married for real, for fun or renew their vows at the wedding chapel by none other than The King himself, an ordained officiant.  The Stage Right! Sensations return once again with their revered Grand Staircase performance.

“Our committee has been working hard, and this year, we believe that the theme adds an extra element of fun to the mix.  We are hoping to attract our loyal supporters, but also some new attendees that haven’t yet experienced this event,” stated Kelli Brisbane, Westmoreland Cultural Trust Event Manager.

In addition to the party, purchasers can win big with a sweepstakes being conducted to support the fundraising efforts of Westmoreland Cultural Trust.  The lucky winner will receive a cash prize of $4,000.  A $10 donation is required to enter with the winning number being drawn from the 7 pm Pick 3 PA lottery on Monday, Feb. 25, 2019.  Only 1,000 tickets will be sold.  Sweepstakes tickets are available in person at The Palace Theatre Box Office or by calling 724-836-1123 x255.  Ticket printing is compliments of Fotorecord Print Center.
