This position maintains the building and grounds by providing janitorial and housekeeping services, some repair services, supporting events and performing job duties with the visitor’s experience in mind. Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the interior and exterior of the facility. Patrols the interior and exterior of the building daily for identification of issues and clearing of obstacles or debris. Cleans the kitchens and cleans and check restrooms as needed daily. Removes trash by emptying all trash containers, transports materials to disposal area. Mops and buffs floor areas throughout the facility, (i.e. all common areas, bathrooms, stairwell landings, stairs, etc.). Groundskeeping and light snow removal as scheduled. Vacuums and disinfects areas throughout the facility. Window washing and doors as needed.  Responsible for set-ups, tear-downs and clean-up when assigned during and after events requested by the manager of events & facilities. Keeps cleaning equipment operational by following manufacturers operating and care guidelines. Assists in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.


Previous experience in a service position. Commitment to providing excellent service and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member. Ability to take initiative in performing job functions. Ability to lift and carry 25-50 pounds.

Special Requirements

Valid PA driver’s license – must arrive promptly and be reliable. May be exposed to heights in performing job duties. Must be able to work outdoors in performing job duties when necessary. Available to work day and evening hours and on weekends.

Manager, Marketing & Development

Westmoreland Cultural Trust is looking for a dynamic Manager of Marketing and Development to join our team and assist in continuing to inspire cultural and economic growth in the region. The manager will support all marketing efforts to promote performances at The Palace Theatre (and additional locations), community events, development efforts, and other programs and services. This position will use their outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to work with all departments within the organization, as well as outside entities, to effectively develop and implement successful branding and promotional strategies and assist in securing funding from private philanthropic sources.

  • Coordinate all aspects of marketing and communications, including branding, advertising, special events, collateral materials, and partner development, etc.
  • Responsible for written communications and distribution across multiple platforms such as press releases, website, social media, print and digital publications, and other public relations and marketing vehicles.
  • Support the organization’s website development (design and content), mobile app, online and social media initiatives; monitor analytics and usage.
  • Assist in the vision and strategy to realize and exceed the annual development goals through individual gifts, foundation, corporation, and government grants, and events.
  • Monitor grants calendar to ensure that deadlines are met; research appropriate grant opportunities; prepare letters of inquiry, grant proposals and other funding requests; and write stewardship reports and ensure funders’ requirements are met.


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, multi-tasker with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of digital and traditional marketing strategies and the software required to create successful campaigns (Google AdWords, Google Analytics, social media channels, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience in fundraising, particularly donor relations and grant writing.
  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense, and good listening. Willingness to work in teams.

Social Media & Communications Internship

Are you creative, social media savvy, and love the arts? Westmoreland Cultural Trust is looking for an eager-to-learn social media and communications intern with excellent writing skills to join our team and assist in inspiring cultural growth in the region. The position will oversee all social media accounts for Westmoreland Cultural Trust, The Palace Theatre and Greensburg Garden & Civic Center and assist in developing successful digital branding and marketing strategies. This opportunity will involve promoting all aspects of the arts including national touring performances, visual art initiatives, and community events.


  • Works closely with the marketing team to develop social media strategies
  • Writes copy for social media messaging and schedules content
  • Maintains and closely monitors social media calendar
  • Captures and creates engaging content for social media (photos, video, graphics, etc.)
  • Assists in tracking social media engagement
  • Assists with other projects as needed, such as online calendar updates, e-newsletters, and other marketing promotions.
