STRAVINSKY Pulcinella Suite
SAINT-SAËNS Piano Concerto No 2.
Maxim Lando, piano
MOZART Symphony No. 40

Artistic DirectorDaniel Meyer welcomes back piano virtuoso Maxim Lando to perform French composer Camille Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No 2. The work was written in Paris in the span of just three short weeks and remains one of his most popular concertos. The concert also includes Stravinsky’s charming Pulcinella Suite, premiered by Ballets Russes at the Paris Opera in 1920. The evening concludes with Mozart’s dramatic Symphony No. 40, one of his last three symphonies and famously featured in the opening credits of the movie Amadeus (1984)
