It’s Time to Raise the Curtain!

Westmoreland Cultural Trust is ecstatic to welcome guests back to The Palace Theatre and Greensburg Garden & Civic Center to experience live arts performances.

We will continue to adhere to and adjust our operating protocols as public health guidelines evolve. Ticket purchasers will be notified by email if any precautions necessitate a change in seating or if a show is rescheduled. We recommend checking these guidelines closer to your event date for the latest information.

Although we have taken enhanced health and safety measures, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. WESTMORELAND CULTURAL TRUST (WCT) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, WCT cannot guarantee that authorized event attendees will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending a gathering at a WCT facility could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19. By visiting one of our facilities, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

The health of our guests, volunteers, workers, and artists remains a top priority. FACE COVERINGS

Face masks covering the nose and mouth are required for all persons ages 2 and up inside the facility at all times, whether vaccinated or not, including while seated during a show; no exceptions.

  • Masks must cover your nose and mouth and be secured under your chin.
  • Masks must fit snugly against the sides of your face and be secured with ear loops or secured around your head.
  • Masks should have two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric.
  • Face shields and bandanas are not considered a suitable substitute by the CDC and are not an acceptable form of face covering, except when worn in conjunction with a mask for heightened protection.
  • Face masks will be available for those that do not have one or forgot to bring one.
  • Staff and volunteers will also be required to follow all masking requirements and safety procedures.
ENHANCED CLEANING AND DISINFECTING PROCEDURES

In addition to routine cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures in common areas throughout the day, Westmoreland Cultural Trust has implemented a number of additional steps and systems to help keep our patrons, volunteers, and staff healthy.

  • An electrostatic disinfectant sprayer is used to quickly and efficiently sanitize and decontaminate theatre seats and large areas. The Victory VP200ESK Professional Sprayer system utilizes electrostatic technology to evenly coat and provide complete disinfection directly to surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. The touchless application also reduces the risk of cross-contamination.
  • The Palace Theatre’s HVAC system has been upgraded to include Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UV-C) providing ongoing 24/7/365 protection. The UV-C decontamination lamp system (RLM Xtreme) delivers high-output ultraviolet energy to irradiate coils and destroy mold, bacteria, and viruses.
  • We are ensuring our ventilation systems are operating to full design capabilities in accordance with CDC filtration guidelines. The Palace Theatre’s HVAC system has an air circulation rate of 96,000 cubic feet per minute, with a minimum of 15% outside air intake.

Assumption of Risk Relating to COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

WESTMORELAND CULTURAL TRUST (WCT) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, WCT cannot guarantee that authorized event attendees will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending a gathering at a WCT facility could increase your risk and the risk of your rental participants of contracting COVID-19.

By attending an event at any Westmoreland Cultural Trust facility, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 while attending WCT programs or events, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. You understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at WCT may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, WCT employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families.

You voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death) to myself and assume all risks of illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you may experience or incur in connection with your use of WCT facilities. You hereby release, covenant not to sue, to discharge, and to hold harmless the WCT, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. You understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the WCT, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after my attendance at WCT programs or events.
